Wedding and Engagement!

So...I'm engaged. :)  Scott asked me to marry him on Friday and I said yes!  But before I tell the story I have to talk about Taylor's beautiful wedding.  We spent the entire weekend in St. George and of course it had to rain.  They got married in the early afternoon and then ate dinner at 5:30, with the reception following right after.  My parents came down for the weekend as well so I got to party with them, Scott and some of my old roommates.  We danced the night away and I loved all of it.

Isn't Scotty adorable?
Ok, now for the engagement story.  So my dad called me on Wednesday and asked me if Scott and I wanted to go to dinner at Pizza Factory with my parents on Friday.  I said sure, asked Scott and he said that would be great.  On Friday on our way to Pizza Factory my dad called me saying that an alarm had gone off at one of his buildings on main street and to have us meet my parents there to figure out the problem and then drive to Pizza Factory together.
Once we got to the building we walked in and my parents said that they would check downstairs to make sure that nothing was stolen and that Scott and I should check upstairs.  Scott and I went upstairs and I saw a bouquet of orange gerbera daisies, which are my favorite, and then I saw a table out on the outside patio with candles and china and peach roses.  We walked out and there were two patio heaters that kept us warm.  He served us spagetti, because he made spagetti for me when we first started dating and we say that that is how he "wooed" me. :)
After we were done eating he pulled out a bluetooth speaker and turned on Faithfully by Journey and we danced under the moonlight and he was telling me how much he loved me and why he loves me.  During the transition between songs he turned down the volume with a remote pulled out the ring (that I didn't see, because we were hugging) then got down on one knee, used my full name and asked me to marry him.  I said yes and we laughed and hugged and kissed.
Then we called my parents who came and took pictures and then started calling and visiting all of our family and friends.  I love Scott Andrew May!  We will be getting married on June 1st and I can't wait to spend the rest of eternity with this man. :)
We took a million of these adorable ring pictures :)

My mama made this super cute sign :)

This is kind of what the table looked like. :)
We thought it would be funny to burn the sign and pretend that we didn't realize that it was burning. :)

The Adversary Hates Anything Good

With Pop Benedict XVI announcing his resignation on Monday, I have been thinking a lot about why he did and about all of the crisis in the world today that he and all other church leaders have had to deal with.  I think that this is a good example of how much The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has had to deal with and that our prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson, has been able to stay strong and capable through all of the trials that the adversary has put in the Church's way.  I am grateful for the Holy Ghost and for the blessing that he is in every church member's life to keep us strong in the faith and strong against anything the adversary throws at us.
