Wedding and Engagement!
So...I'm engaged. :) Scott asked me to marry him on Friday and I said yes! But before I tell the story I have to talk about Taylor's beautiful wedding. We spent the entire weekend in St. George and of course it had to rain. They got married in the early afternoon and then ate dinner at 5:30, with the reception following right after. My parents came down for the weekend as well so I got to party with them, Scott and some of my old roommates. We danced the night away and I loved all of it.
Ok, now for the engagement story. So my dad called me on Wednesday and asked me if Scott and I wanted to go to dinner at Pizza Factory with my parents on Friday. I said sure, asked Scott and he said that would be great. On Friday on our way to Pizza Factory my dad called me saying that an alarm had gone off at one of his buildings on main street and to have us meet my parents there to figure out the problem and then drive to Pizza Factory together.

Once we got to the building we walked in and my parents said that they would check downstairs to make sure that nothing was stolen and that Scott and I should check upstairs. Scott and I went upstairs and I saw a bouquet of orange gerbera daisies, which are my favorite, and then I saw a table out on the outside patio with candles and china and peach roses. We walked out and there were two patio heaters that kept us warm. He served us spagetti, because he made spagetti for me when we first started dating and we say that that is how he "wooed" me. :)
After we were done eating he pulled out a bluetooth speaker and turned on Faithfully by Journey and we danced under the moonlight and he was telling me how much he loved me and why he loves me. During the transition between songs he turned down the volume with a remote pulled out the ring (that I didn't see, because we were hugging) then got down on one knee, used my full name and asked me to marry him. I said yes and we laughed and hugged and kissed.
Then we called my parents who came and took pictures and then started calling and visiting all of our family and friends. I love Scott Andrew May! We will be getting married on June 1st and I can't wait to spend the rest of eternity with this man. :)

The Adversary Hates Anything Good
With Pop Benedict XVI announcing his resignation on Monday, I have been thinking a lot about why he did and about all of the crisis in the world today that he and all other church leaders have had to deal with. I think that this is a good example of how much The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has had to deal with and that our prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson, has been able to stay strong and capable through all of the trials that the adversary has put in the Church's way. I am grateful for the Holy Ghost and for the blessing that he is in every church member's life to keep us strong in the faith and strong against anything the adversary throws at us.

Whirlwind of a January!
Classes have started again and it has been a whirlwind of activity. I am taking three Communications classes, because I got into the program. (Sorry I keep mentioning this, but sometimes I still can't believe it!) The three COMMS classes that I am taking are Media Law and Ethics, Research Methods for Journalism, and a News Production class. They are all pretty interesting, just sometimes a little overwhelming. I am also taking a New Testament class that has been incredibly interesting, we are studying the second half of the New Testament, which I haven't studied very much, so it has been super fun to learn new things! I am also taking an Indian dance class (the country not Native American) and it is a pretty big workout, but holy cow it is a blast. :)
For MLK weekend my family, Scott and I went to St. George to soak up some rays and it was fabulous! We went to Snow Canyon where we explored some lava shoots and climbed red rocks. We also went to a Dixie State Basketball game and the Red Storm won by a land slide. :) We also got to go to the St. George temple Vistor's Center and walk around on the grounds, which was beautiful, especially because I only had to wear a long sleeve shirt. It was really hard to leave 57 degree weather and come back to 16 degree weather.
Tay is getting married on Saturday! I can barely believe that her wedding is this weekend! Scott and I will be going back down to St. George for the wedding (and for the warm weather) and we both are so excited. I am going to be a bridesmaid, which means I get to wear a super cute red dress that has pockets! Pictures will come soon I promise!

Finals and Christmas :)
I survived finals and I am loving Christmas Break! :) This semester was quite tough on me, but it no longer matters because it is now OVER!!!! I took all of my finals and I didn't die while taking any of them. :) I haven't seen my grades yet, but I am not going to worry about them just yet. I just found out that I got a 96% on my Public Relations campaign project that took up most of my life! I got to be a part of Christmas Around the World again this year and I got to be in a Scottish number that was so much fun to be a part of.
This Christmas Break will be fabulous and long! I get 3 weeks until I have to go back to school. The first week we were in Spanish Fork where I was working and hanging with the fam and Scott. We got to take a trip to Ikea and a store that sells Finnish chocolate...Scott almost died and went to heaven. He also took me to a super nice dinner, a Christmas dinner, and one of my favorite desserts-->a frosty. I got him a fun new watch, because his good looking watch from his mission broke.
I am now chilling in St. George, loving life. It isn't crazy warm, but it isn't snowing so I don't mind. I gave Dave the most random shirt that I could find, Cody a cool black shirt, Mark a plaid hat and sunglasses. Dave, my mom and I got my dad an iPod shuffle and all of the kids got my mom a cute Christmas radio from my work. I have loved being with my family and completely relaxed. :)

Update on my Life!
| My Letter of Acceptance |
A couple weeks ago I ran a 5k, for my friend's father who has brain cancer, with my friends Emilee and Lisa, which I actually did pretty well in. It was super fun and I plan on doing another 5k sometime in the future.
Taylor my roommate is engaged to Tyler Perkins and I am so excited for them! She is getting married on January 26th, so most of Taylor and I's conversations have something to do with her upcoming wedding, which has been super fun.
I am also dating a guy named Scott May. He is great and wonderful and I have so much fun with him. :) Here is a run down on how we met and all of our fun adventures:
